Position descriptions for the cadet staff can be found in CAPP 60-31 and the senior staff positions are found in CAPP 60-70.
In addition, we will be having the ALC as a part of encampment and Capt. Jodi Williams will be in charge of this element and the following two staff positions are open for this segment:
- ALC Cadet Commander—The ALC cadet Commander will work with the director and deputy to administer the ALC program. They will train, supervise, and mentor the ALC Cadre, step in when needed to mentor the students. They will supervise drill, mentoring the students as they learn to lead, help with feedback forms and meetings, monitoring students and documenting observations. They will work with the Basic Cadet Commander to ensure that the schedules are running on time and communicate changes in schedules. At a minimum, the ALC director will have a strong background in mentoring cadets and indirect leadership. They will have attended at least 3 encampments with at least 2 on line staff.
- ALC Deputy Director— Senior members who administer the ALC program, teach classes, give feedback to cadets, work with the encampment commander to ensure that the encampment runs well with the basic side, maintain the schedule, etc. A director and deputy will have experience working with ALC at an encampment, teaching cadets, and leadership experience.
Applicants are asked to submit a letter of interest, their CAP resume, and an endorsement from their Squadron Commander or Deputy Commander for Cadets. The endorsement will involve submission of a form by the Commander or Deputy Commander.

Application packages for these staff positions are due no later than January 23, 2026, with selections being made and notified by February 6. Other staff position applications will be opened at a later date.
For the above cadet positions, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold the grade of C/2d Lt at minimum (C/Capt or above preferred)
- Attend at least two prior encampments, with one serving on staff
- Demonstrated leadership experience in the cadet program
- Ability to conduct themselves professionally and serve as an example for others
For the above senior positions, applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Hold the grade of Captain
- Preferred completion of Level III of the Education and Training program
- Hold the Technician rating (Senior preferred) in Cadet Programs
- Hold the Technician rating (Senior preferred) in Safety for the Safety Officer position
- Demonstrated experience of service at the Squadron and/or Wing level
